3.6 litre VR6 Passat R36 The R36 uses a 3.6 litre VR6 engine rated 300 PS (221 kW; 296 bhp) and 350 Nm (258 lbfft) of torque, which pushes the saloon and Variant (estate/wagon) to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 5.6 and 5.8 seconds respectively.

Available as the R36 sedan and R36 Variant (that means wagon in VW speak), the R36 is to the Passat what the delicious R32 is to the Golf. In other words, it has a pumped-up V-6 engine (in this case, a 300-hp, 3.6-liter mill with direct injection) and 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

Passat B7 Reliability Since the B7 is pretty much just a facelifted B6, the reliability is pretty much the same. These can easily last over 100,000 miles with the proper maintenance.
