After a few shakedown passes on August 27, 2018, Koiso pushed the old Dyna to 259.951 miles per hour in the measured mile. GPS telemetry from that same run clocked Koiso at over 260 miles per hour, which is frankly amazing for an air-cooled, pushrod V-twin.

The average top speed for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is around 115 mph and the average time from 0 to 60 mph is around 4.3 seconds. The fastest model, the FXDR, reaches 160 mph and the time from 0 to 60 mph is around 2.5 seconds.
120 mph With a Top Speed of 120 mph, the New Low Rider S can take off from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds.
Both have the same engine/trans, so fastest is between rider skills. Same with modding capabilities. Same drivetrain, although softails have the B-engine, with the counter balance shaft due to non-rubber mounted engine. Dyna Superglide handles better then any other bike, in the Big Twin class.
FXDR 114 The FXDR 114 can achieve a top speed of around 160 mph. This feat makes it the fastest Harley-Davidson production motorcycle currently being sold new, although it’s not the fastest motorcycle in the company’s entire history.
This bike is fast. Not fast for a Harley. It’s just a quick bike. … However, if you know what you’re doing on a bike, and you can find some squids who don’t know what kind of heat the V-Rod’s packing, you’re in for a treat.

Cruisers, like Harley Davidson bikes, are slower than sports bikes because they have push-rod valve trains and are air-cooled, and can therefore not operate at high engine RPMs to develop lots of power. … Others believe cruisers are designed to cruise.

CVO Tri Glide CVO Tri Glide is the slowest Harley-Davidson but its sheer street presence makes it worthwhile.
How fast can a Harley 103 go? Stock motorcycles usually have top speeds between 100120 mph. I remember a Cycle World review of a Softail with the 107ci engine a few years ago that they got up to 113 mph. With the higher output 114ci engines, you might get closer to 120 mph.
11.156 seconds The Harley-Davidson LiveWire covered the eighth-mile distance in 7.017 seconds and the full quarter-mile course in just 11.156 seconds.
Certainly, a motorcycle with a seating position oriented toward conviction rather than comfort doesn’t need a range of 235 miles, yet the Low Rider S has it. The solo seat is good for a fairly long distance, so your arms are likely to complain before your posterior chimes in.
The Dyna is more balanced and is best at making corners and steering in traffic. It is also best suited for riding two people up while the Softail is best only for one rider or a lighter load. It also costs less than the Softail. Whichever model one opts to buy, both bikes are fast, efficient, and fun to ride.
So why did Harley stop making Dyna? … The Dyna frame had a rubber mounted, non-counter-balanced engine with twin external rear shocks. Harley research showed people wanted the improved performance the manufacturer now offers from the Milwaukee-Eight engines solidly mounted and twin counterbalanced in the Softail line.
power The name has real meaning Harley Davidson doesn’t just choose random names for their new models out of the air. There is always a value to the name and an important meaning. The word Dyna means power.

Dyna Super Glide FXD/I The fastest street-legal (sit-on) Harley-Davidson is almost certainly Hiro Koiso’s 2006 Dyna Super Glide FXD/I which is powered by a 135ci JIMS131 Twin Cam engine modified by T-Man Performance to produce around 400hp.
1. Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide. Harley’s air or oil-cooled 117-inch motor is the most powerful V-twin the factory has ever produced and is only available on CVO motorcycles. This 1,923cc monster can reach a peak of 105 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque with a few legal tweaks.
