With 60 mph available in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 155, this is one fast coupe. Not surprisingly, with its 350Z-based underpinnings, the G35 also took to the twisties, especially since the six-speed version of the G35 comes standard with 18-inch tires and Brembo brakes, just as the 350Z Track model does.
Irrespective of the transmission type, all versions of G35 are ridiculously fast. In several tests, a 5-speed automatic transmission equipped G35 goes from 0 to 60 mph in a spectacular 5.6 seconds and up to 100 mph in 6.2 seconds while galloping a quarter-mile distance in 13.9 seconds.

Your Infiniti G35 is blessed with one of the most turbo-friendly, naturally aspirated engines out there. When it comes to turbocharging your G35, it helps to have a goal in mind. Having a pre-decided power figure will help you plan your build properly. Both the VQ35DE and VQ35HR engines are works of art.
The fastest G35 is the 2007 RWD Sedan with the 6-speed manual transmission. The fastest G37 is the 2009 RWD Sedan with the 7-speed automatic transmission. While every G37 has a mile time of 14 seconds or faster, only one G35 does. While the 60 times are similar, the G37 models have a slight edge over almost every G35.
So, throughout the years, the 350z provided more power than the G35. It was only toward the end of production that the Nissan 350z was no longer faster than the G35. Both cars had exactly the same manual and automatic transmissions, though the automatics had variable timing on the intake side.

Aftermarket headers are manufactured to reduce exhaust flow. In turn, horsepower is increased, although aftermarket headers will increase exhaust noise. You can gain as much as 10 horsepower with an aftermarket header kit on your G35.
Performance output of the G35 kit is rated at 70 to 75 horsepower over stock at 5.5 psi of boost pressure. With the optional intercooler kit installed, boost pressure can be safely increased to 6 psi.
The Infiniti G35 coupe 6MT comes with a standard 3.5-liter 293 horsepower V6 engine and a close-ration six-speed manual transmission. A sport-tuned suspension is also standard.
