A 400ex won’t come close to 80mph unless you change the gearing drastically. The top speed of a stock 400ex will be between 65 and 70.
The 450R revs faster and higher than the 400. It also makes more power and responds instantly. The 400X is responsive and powerful, but it’s much more smooth. The 450R’s power advantage made it faster in easy, open terrain; on big hills; and even on tight, difficult, technical trailsfor our pro racer.
It has a 28 horsepower engine and the Honda 400EX has a top speed of 72 MPH. The motor has dual intake and dual exhaust ports for maximum engine efficiency. The TRX400EX has a five-speed transmission with Reverse to round out it’s arsenal of go fast.
